Instaclustr is pleased to announce changes which allow customers finer control of internal network ranges allocated to data center. Previously, when creating or adding a data center, data center subnets were allocated automatically and sequentially. Customers can now choose custom address ranges for individual data centers and these are no longer required to be ranges within a parent subnet for the cluster. This allows the use of smaller ranges (down to a /26 network) per data center.
This feature was requested by our enterprise customers with tight corporate controls over internal network allocations. The feature is available immediately for all customers when adding new data centers or clusters. Further details are available in the support article: Network Address Allocation.
