NetApp is thrilled to announce the launch of the latest offering on the Instaclustr Managed Platform, Instaclustr for ClickHouse®, available immediately in Private Preview. Built around open source software, ClickHouse, is a new offering designed to provide businesses with a powerful, scalable, and reliable solution for real-time data analytics.
This Preview release is designed to allow a select group of customers to provide feedback and influence our development process as we incrementally add features towards a general availability release. ClickHouse is an open source, column-oriented database management system renowned for its lightning-fast query processing and high compression ratios. It is commonly used for real time analytics, log and event analysis, and machine learning capabilities to support AI use cases. By offering ClickHouse on the Instaclustr Managed Platform, NetApp is enabling businesses to leverage these capabilities without the operational complexities typically associated with self-managed solutions.

Instaclustr for ClickHouse now includes many features that our customers have come to expect from the Instaclustr Managed Platform, accessible through our console, API, and Terraform Provider. We are continuously enhancing the service, adding capabilities such as Data Tiering and scaling support as we approach the General Availability (GA) milestone. Customers of Instaclustr for ClickHouse will also be supported by our 24X7 expert support team and upon reaching GA, will also be covered by industry-leading production Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Like all services provided by Instaclustr, our ClickHouse offering adheres to a pure open source model, giving customers complete freedom and control over their data. Initially, Instaclustr for ClickHouse is available on AWS, with plans to expand support to additional cloud providers and on-premises deployments in the near future.
This new offering expands Instaclustr’s portfolio of managed open source technologies, which includes Kafka, Spark and PostgreSQL®. Adding ClickHouse is a logical choice as Spark and Kafka are frequently chosen in data preparation pipelines for ClickHouse workloads while PostgreSQL and Redis™ are supported natively by ClickHouse via specific table engines.
All of these offerings can be manually configured to work with ClickHouse today and we will be working in the coming months to provide a simplified, seamless experience when using these technologies together on the Instaclustr Managed Platform. This underscores our dedication to providing comprehensive, fully managed solutions that help businesses harness the power of open source technologies without the operational hassles.
